Build a founder portrait that fits your business
Try one portrait treatment for an About page, then check the likeness and the real page layout.

Actual synthetic image edits made on 4 October 2026 with the available image-generation tool. Model version unavailable. These are not ChatGPT interface tests, real-person likeness tests or a multi-person team benchmark. Requested 1024 × 1024; actual files 1254 × 1254.
You can give a portrait a different feel for an About page without inventing a new wardrobe or an implausible office. Pick one treatment and see how it looks beside your real biography.
What you'll make
one portrait candidate for your website or speaker bio.
What you'll need
an approved image-editing account and your own photo, or permission from the adult pictured. Check the rules for uploading and using the photo. The basic headshot guide covers source selection.
1. Choose a style for the page
- Editorial colour: a plain terracotta background. Start here if it suits the page colours.
- Relaxed workspace: a wider portrait in a generated workroom.
- Monochrome: a quiet black-and-white treatment.
Choose for the page you actually have. A prompt cannot establish that a colour inspires confidence or improves sales.
2. Upload the untouched original
In ChatGPT, attach the original photo. For your own source, adapt the fictional labels and subject details in the example prompt accurately. Keep the constraints against changing the person. Start every new style from the original.

The AI-generated starting portrait. Every displayed edit began from this original.
3. Try editorial colour

Actual generated output; fictional adult. Original PNG retained without retouching.
The actual result uses the requested terracotta background and a tighter head-and-shoulders crop. Fine facial contours and knit texture have changed too.
Exact prompt used for this image:
Use case: identity-preserve.
Asset type: synthetic portrait example for a TaskbyTask headshot-style article.
Edit target: the attached original reference image, a fictional adult woman about 40 with short dark-brown hair, brown eyes, a navy crewneck top, small stud earrings, and a closed-mouth smile.
Preserve the reference subject's facial proportions, apparent age, eye colour, natural fine lines and skin texture, hair shape and colour, earrings, navy crewneck clothing, and closed-mouth smile. Preserve her natural body proportions. Do not beautify, slim, smooth skin, apply makeup, invent physical features, change the outfit, or add career claims, credentials, logos, text, badges, or watermarks. Only make the declared background, lighting, and framing changes below.
Declared style: a creative business portrait with a plain muted terracotta studio background and calm, soft editorial light. Keep a natural photographic look. Frame head and shoulders in a square composition, with comfortable space above the hair. No props or other additions.
Output: one 1024 by 1024 pixel square PNG portrait, if supported. Opaque background. Produce only this one image.
4. Check the face and the page
Compare facial proportions, apparent age, expression, hair, ears and clothing with the source at full size. Then preview the image beside the biography. Is the face clear at the size people will see?
Reject invented credentials, accessories or an inaccurate likeness. If your actual workplace matters to the story, use a real photograph of it. The AI has not visited your office, however confidently it has installed a plant.
Save the approved file and its intended use so colleagues know which version to publish.
Optional style: Relaxed workspace
This result includes an invented plant, work surface and faint chair edge. The wider crop gives the surroundings more space; it must not imply these are the real premises.

Declared style: a creative business portrait in a restrained, believable light workroom. Use a softly defocused plain light wall, a simple desk edge, and one modest plant, without logos, documents, qualifications, credentials, or extra decorative claims. Soft natural daylight. Use a slightly wider square composition showing head, shoulders, and upper torso while keeping the face clearly readable. Do not introduce hands, accessories, or objects held by the subject.
Output: one 1024 by 1024 pixel square PNG portrait, if supported. Opaque background. Produce only this one image.
Optional style: Monochrome
The grayscale image simplifies the page colours. Check that dark hair and clothing retain detail at small sizes; facial details and fabric are still generated again.

Declared style: an understated black-and-white creative business portrait against a plain neutral charcoal studio backdrop. Render the whole photograph in neutral grayscale, with no colour tint. Use gentle soft light and retain natural skin texture and fine lines. Keep head-and-shoulders framing with comfortable space above the hair. Convert the existing navy crewneck to its corresponding dark grayscale tone without changing its shape or fabric. Preserve eye shape and tonal structure rather than inventing lighter eyes. No props or other additions.

Go deeper
You can stop after the checked result above. Open a lesson below for the fuller method, refinements and checks. These extend the first task; they are not prerequisites.
Optional training: Review the portrait in its actual page layout
Preview the portrait beside the biography or service introduction before deciding. A crop that works alone may leave the face too small in the page layout. Keep enough space for the intended use, and do not ask the generator to invent missing parts of the body just to fill a banner.
Compare each result with the original at full size. Check facial proportions, age, expression, ears, hair edges and the top’s neckline. Then check the background for objects, implied credentials or an invented location. A pleasant result can still be an inaccurate one.
Give the designer one approved image, its untouched source and its intended uses. That is a more useful handover than changing the portrait whenever the website colours change.
Optional training: Understand what these examples establish
These outputs show different visual treatments in this run. They do not establish that visitors trust one style more or that any image improves sales.
The source and original PNGs are retained with their prompt records. All three outputs are 1254 by 1254 pixels, despite requesting 1024 by 1024 if supported. Small facial, hair and fabric changes remain reasons to inspect them.
Keep the selected image with its intended uses and approval. If several people publish on the founder’s behalf, give them the approved file rather than three alternatives and a vague instruction to use the nice one.
For several people appearing together, use a team-portrait style specification before editing the first photograph.
About these examples
These are actual edits of one fictional adult, generated on 4 October 2026 with the available image-generation tool, not in the ChatGPT interface. The model version was not exposed. They are not a real-person likeness or repeatability test. The examples show styles from this run, not proof of trust, sales or other business results.
All three outputs are 1254 × 1254 pixels, despite the 1024-pixel request. Framing, colour, facial detail and fabric still need checking. The unchanged image record contains the exact prompts, dates, dimensions, hashes and inspection notes.
