## The task
A small packing calculator with two editable inputs and a checked carton count.

## Task method
For this task: Round packing up and keep invalid states distinct
Define units, valid zero and unknown before generating a tool. Test ordinary, boundary and invalid states in the interface, not only code.

## Starting request to adapt
Create a small interactive packing calculator in Canvas. Inputs are whole-number item quantity (zero or more) and whole-number items per carton (greater than zero). Result is the number of cartons required: quantity divided by capacity, rounded up. Show the rule and assumptions visibly.

Both inputs must be editable, clearly labelled and keyboard usable. Blank or invalid input must show a useful warning and clear the previous result; do not silently convert a blank to zero. Zero quantity with valid capacity must return zero. Use no external services, AI calls, shared storage, ordering or other actions. Keep this as a private practice preview, not a public app. Start with quantity 18 and capacity 6, and explain the code/calculation so I can inspect it.

## Review the result

- Keep capacity positive.
- Check labelled keyboard controls.

## Known fictional failure
Round 19÷6 to 3 cartons and keep the old total when capacity is cleared.

This practice source supports this repair:
Use ceiling(quantity/capacity) for valid whole inputs; 19/6→4,0/6→0. Clear stale counts for blank inputs or capacity 0 and explain the specific failure. Inspect the actual preview controls and keyboard behaviour.
Three cartons hold only 18; interface state matters as well as the formula.
