# Turn one AI task into a useful review checklist

Derive checks from source, desired output and consequences rather than generic confidence.

Use the supplied source as authority. Check the account supports the actual file or image operation before attempting it.

## Task instruction

Create a short review checklist for [specific AI task/output].
Use these source rules and likely failure modes. For each check, state
what to inspect, the independent evidence, an example of failure, the
stop or correction action and what would count as a checked result.
Prioritise checks that affect this output's use. Do not add generic
confidence scores or declare quality from the assistant's own assurance.
Keep advanced checks optional where they are not needed for the first job.

## Source boundaries

- Summary: source conditions
- Portrait: visible source detail
- Analysis: units and unknowns

## Review and correction

Ask for evidence, a failure example and a correction route for this task. Do not use the same generic accuracy checklist for every output.

Check [name] failed because [output detail] differs from [source evidence].
Correct that specific detail while preserving [sound parts].
Return the revised output and identify the changed section or field.
Repeat the affected check and any related boundary check.
Leave unresolved evidence as a focused question; do not mark it passed.

Use references/practice-source.json for the labelled example. The practice HTML is a local teaching tool; it does not call an AI service. Apply this method to the user's supplied facts rather than copying fictional example values. Do not infer approval or permission to publish.
