# Use an image style reference without copying its composition

Separate aesthetic reference, subject and composition instructions.

Use the supplied source as authority. Check the account supports the actual file or image operation before attempting it.

## Task instruction

Create [specific output] for [actual use] using these permitted inputs.
[Source file] controls the subject and its defining visible details.
[Treatment reference] supplies only [light/material/colour properties].
[Layout reference, if supplied] controls [placement/crop/text region].
Exclude the treatment reference's subject, pose, clothes, props, wording
and composition unless explicitly authorised above. Keep source facts
and person/product geometry separate from treatment. Return one candidate
and identify any instruction that the available inputs cannot support.

## Source boundaries

- Your original: appearance
- Office reference: light only
- Sketch: framing only

## Review and correction

Borrow broad lighting and calm, not the reference person's face, outfit or exact scene.

The requested [treatment property] is useful, but the candidate copied
[unwanted reference element]. Return to the source for subject authority.
Remove that copied element and keep only [allowed treatment cue].
Preserve source geometry, factual content and the actual layout boundary.
Return one file for another role-by-role comparison; do not claim
that the reference roles were followed without inspecting the result.

Use references/practice-source.json for the labelled example. The practice HTML is a local teaching tool; it does not call an AI service. Apply this method to the user's supplied facts rather than copying fictional example values. Do not infer approval or permission to publish.
