# Preserve textured hair during an AI portrait edit

Name the preservation boundary and compare silhouette, curls and highlights.

Use the supplied source as authority. Check the account supports the actual file or image operation before attempting it.

## Task instruction

Edit my attached portrait for [specific lighting/background/layout].
Preserve the visible hairline, texture, overall volume, length and
silhouette, together with the face, expression and source pose.
Keep natural edge detail; no straightening, flattening, extra hair,
beauty makeover or new accessories. Do not invent unseen hair to
complete a clipped source. If coverage is insufficient, explain it
and offer a crop or retake route. Return one candidate for comparison.

## Source boundaries

- Visible hairline
- Overall volume
- Interpreted edge detail

## Review and correction

More headroom does not prove recovery of unseen curls. Keep source authority and inspect the full edge.

The face and [useful lighting/layout] should stay. Along [specific
hair boundary], the candidate has [halo / lost texture / changed
silhouette]. Use my untouched source for the visible hair shape and
hairline. Repair only that background transition. Do not smooth the
face, change curl texture or fill unphotographed hair. Return one
candidate; I will compare source, edge and destination crop.

Use references/practice-source.json for the labelled example. The practice HTML is a local teaching tool; it does not call an AI service. Apply this method to the user's supplied facts rather than copying fictional example values. Do not infer approval or permission to publish.
