# Stop a portrait edit from silently changing apparent age

Inspect changed lines, proportions and hair rather than equating flattery with success.

Use the supplied source as authority. Check the account supports the actual file or image operation before attempting it.

## Task instruction

Edit my attached portrait for [background/light/framing]. Preserve
my source facial proportions, expression, hairline, visible grey hair,
lines, skin detail, clothes and pose. No rejuvenation, beauty makeover,
face slimming, new smile or age-based redesign. Use the original as
the appearance authority. If a detail is not readable, do not invent
it. Return one candidate for comparison with my untouched source.

## Source boundaries

- Visible lines
- Source hairline
- Original expression

## Review and correction

Compare visible changes. Do not assign a guessed age or an age-preservation score.

The new background is useful, but the candidate changed [visible
source feature]. Return to my untouched original. Restore that
feature and the source facial shape while keeping the useful light
and background. Do not infer an ideal age or add generic wrinkles.
Keep the source expression, hair and clothing. Return one candidate
for the depicted person to inspect before use.

Use references/practice-source.json for the labelled example. The practice HTML is a local teaching tool; it does not call an AI service. Apply this method to the user's supplied facts rather than copying fictional example values. Do not infer approval or permission to publish.
