# Preview a headshot in the small profile circle people will see

Choose a crop from existing pixels and brief extra space only when needed.

Use the supplied source as authority. Check the account supports the actual file or image operation before attempting it.

## Task instruction

Use my attached selected portrait as a fixed image. Prepare a crop for
[actual destination shape and size]. Keep the original person pixels;
do not generate a new face, hair, expression or clothes. Show the crop
in a square and in the destination mask so I can check hair, eyes and
shoulders. If existing coverage is insufficient, explain that limit.

## Source boundaries

- Same image pixels
- Circle removes corners
- Narrow top margin

## Review and correction

Ordinary crop placement is the first repair. Do not regenerate the face to solve a thumbnail problem.

Keep my selected portrait unchanged. The circle clips [visible feature].
Use a wider ordinary crop / add [specified plain background clearance]
around the existing photograph. Do not invent missing hair or body.
Return the actual file and a circle preview at [destination size].
Report its real dimensions and format; I will inspect both.

Use references/practice-source.json for the labelled example. The practice HTML is a local teaching tool; it does not call an AI service. Apply this method to the user's supplied facts rather than copying fictional example values. Do not infer approval or permission to publish.
